Privacy

This policy covers the Effrt iOS app and this website, and it's written to be read, not skimmed past. The short version: we collect the minimum the app needs to coach you, we don't run ads, we don't use tracking, and we never sell your data.

Who we are

Effrt is operated by Oliver Warren, based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). For anything in this policy, contact support@effrt.app.

What we collect

Account: your email address. It's the only identifier you give us - sign-in is a one-time code sent to it. No name, no phone number, no password.
Training data. What you tell the app during setup (your sport, training availability, fixture dates, focus areas) and what you log while training (exercises, sets, weights, reps, effort ratings). This is the product - the app can't coach you without it.
Subscription status. Whether you have an active subscription, which product, and when it renews. We never see your card details - Apple handles all payment.
Social content, if you use the feed. Posts, kudos, follows, and your profile - visible to other users by design.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health records, or advertising identifiers. The app contains no analytics SDKs and no trackers.

How we use it

To generate and adapt your training plan - your sport, availability, fixtures, and logged performance are the inputs.
To sync your plan and history across your devices and restore them if you get a new phone.
To operate the social feed for the people you choose to share with.
To unlock the features you've paid for.

That's the whole list. No advertising, no profiling for marketing, no sale or rental of data to anyone, ever.

Who processes it

A small set of infrastructure providers process data on our behalf:

SupabaseHosts our database and sign-in. Stores your email, training data, and subscription status.

OpenAIGenerates your training plan. Receives your sport, availability, fixtures, and logged performance via our own server - never your email or anything that identifies you.

AppleProcesses all payments. We never see your payment details.

RevenueCatManages subscriptions. Receives purchase events tied to a random user id, not your email.

CloudflareHosts this website and the server that talks to OpenAI.

AI-generated plans

Training plans in Effrt are generated by an AI model and are clearly labelled as such in the app. Effrt is a general fitness product, not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice. Check with a doctor before starting a new training programme if you have any health concerns.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. Delete your account any time in the app (You → Delete account): it permanently removes your account, plan, training history, social content, and subscription record from our servers. There is no grace-period copy floating around afterwards.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it (the in-app deletion does this instantly, no email needed). Email support@effrt.app and we'll respond within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled something, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Effrt is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes in any way that matters, we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect - not bury it here and hope.
